Might be the best mexican restaurant that I have ever been to. Hands down

The food is some of the best I’ve had in this area. However the service was horrible!!!! It took forever to get our drinks and appetizer. But the worst part was waiting for the bill. After bringing boxes gor our leftovers it was no less than 30 min before she brought the bill. She then disappeared once again leaving us aitting there. Won’t be back!!!

Best Mex food in southern Indiana by far. Priced right for the quality.

The tortilla soup is pretty darn good. The Baja steak quesadilla is my new addiction. You gotta go and try it!

Outstanding cuisine! Flavor overload! Suggestions are the Mayan Pork Nachos, the Drowned Burrito, and the Fajita Quesadillas

Chef Israel has the most amazing Salsas and Tropical Ceviche. Thinking about it makes my mouth water!

Food was great. No one there it took 30 minutes to get 2 plates of food. It was well worth it!

Highly recommend this food to anyone. . The meals there are always beautiful art to my eyes and the flavors are stand alone original.. nothing can be compared to it.. It is some that everyone needs to experience.. if you haven't at tried this place, then you are missing out..

I absolutely love this place. This is Mexican food like you've never had it. Chef Israel is a true artist. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Don't come expecting Taco Bell or paying Taco Bell prices. But, understand, it is worth every penny.

My wife & I lived in Haiti and we miss good Caribbean food. Israel's is great Mexican food with a Caribbean twist. We loved it.

I visited for lunch with co-workers in Sept. 2019. All items on the lunch menu were $12. The dishes on the regular menu cost even more. You can order a plate of TWO fish tacos for $20!!! That price would raise eyebrows even in Boston or New York! The food was fine - my burritos contained a lot of melted cheese and seemed like they had been microwaved. The salsa was great! (but the chips were stale) Service was OK - I tried to order something that the server told me they had run out of, and the server seemed annoyed that I had to take a few seconds to make another selection.

Friendly service. The best and most authentic Mexican food in town. Reasonable price and good sized portions.

Great Mexican food! Menu kind of, sort of looks familiar but look closely...it’s not. More seafood options, more bottled beers, more drafts and Sangria.We had a seafood Seviche (which was very fresh), Mayan Scallops, Shrimp Ailo (garlic shrimp) and a chicken quesadilla. It was all very good. The service is very friendly and if Israel isn’t busy behind the counter he’ll come round from the grill and see how everyone is enjoying their meals.Bring your family and enjoy a good Mexican meal.

Delicious every time! You can tell the ingredients are super fresh. My favorite is the enchiladas suizas.

Food and service were astounding. Only complaint, which isn't their fault, is they cannot serve mixed drinks until a new liquor license can be attained. Not your traditional "chain" Mexican food.

Per the waitress's recommendation I got the carne asada. It was absolutely delicious. I asked for limes to squeeze on my food and the waitress came back with a souffle cup of them and one of their guacamole salsa, because she loves it on the carne asada. It was fantastic! I suspect it has tomatillos, onion and a wee bit of jalapeño in addition to lime and avocado and something that makes it creamy (a touch of mayo?).I judge all Mexican restaurants by their corn tortillas before all else. These pass muster--they have the proper floral fragrance. (If you see a lone dinner smelling her tortillas that may be me! ;)The restaurant has a lovely South-of-the-border decor, and is in a really pretty little town. :)

The food was very good with attention to presentation and ingredients! The lunches are about$12 so it isn't inexpensive. I'm not sure about dinner.

Great authentic and fresh mexican food!

First time here and I loved it. Very friendly staffs and kind the cook gave me a free side of rice for my baby it was very kind of him. The food was delicious. I'm definitely going back

My girlfriends and I went for lunch about a week ago and we were happily surprised by the delicious and unusual menu. I had a Quesadilla...with cheese, chicken, apples, pecans and sour cream. Oh my..the flavors were sooo good. Our server was Dawn and she was sooo helpful and nice. We had walked from The Carnegie and it was very hot..so Dawn fixes us up with water with lemon for our walk back.Well tonight I took my husband for dinner...and again everything was so good and such unusual flavors. Treat yourself to some delicious Mexican food and go!!!

The problems with atrocious service that have dogged Chef Israel's restaurants in years past seem to have been resolved. A fully staffed kitchen along with properly trained and efficient waitresses make for a fine experience. Israel's creations are first class, as always.

Food 5 stars. Service 4 and 1/2 to 5 stars. Price is a little on the high end but worth it because he uses such good ingredients. Yeah chef isael is cocky but I go their to eat not partake in his arrogant behavior# love macho

I'm a vegetarian & they made my taste buds very happy. It is truly gourmet Mexican food the presentation is just beautiful & the taste is wonderful.

Absolutely the best food and experience in Mexican cuisine we have ever had. Food fresh, beautifully prepared, and presented, and a experience. We ordered a seafood dish that included shrimp and scallops; what we got was high quality scallops that melted in your mouth and high quality shrimp that because they were so perfectly prepared were a high point of the dish. WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!!! The pork dish we ordered was pork perfectly done, tons of flavor, and the fresh vegetables were an exquisite addition to the dish. Can't say enough about this place! Small, comfortable, perfect for gathering with friends, don't miss the hibiscus tea!

Best authentic Mexican food in Southern Indiana

Always the best food ever. I am not sure why I don't come here more often. Out of sight and out of mind. But always happy when I make it there

Great authentic mexican food with an upscale twist. Portions are great and so is the food. Im not a guacamole fan usually but their homemade guacamole is awesome. I loved the service but felt a little invasive at times especially when you are trying to have a girls night out. Overall loved the food & atmosphere. Reason for my 4 stars is I'm not use to having to pay for chips & salsa and although the Sangria was amazing felt it was a little pricey and too much fruit vs sangria
